About me

Tinguely Timothé

One day, said the legend, there was a huge forest fire. All the terrified animals, dismayed, watched helplessly the disaster. Only the little hummingbird was active, going to get a few drops with its beak to throw them on the fire. After a while, the armadillo, irritated by this derisory agitation, said: Hummingbird! Aren’t you crazy? It is not with these drops of water that you will extinguish the fire! »

And the hummingbird replied, « I know, but I’m doing my part. »

Just like the hummingbird, I aspire to play my part and become a key player in the necessary transition towards a more sustainable economy. The aim is not for everyone to be perfect, but it is for 8 billion people to do their best.

My Story

Fortunate to travel around the world at the age of 9, I was quickly made aware of the social inequalities of our world, of the necessity to preserve nature’s beauty and find sustainable solutions to ensure the perennity of our planet. The most memorable experience was in Nepal, a country of unparalleled natural beauties, where economic and social differences are striking. Travelling from Nepal to Hong Kong was a true shock. Seeing how resources were spoiled so close to those in desperate need, gave birth to my personal philosophy of civic engagement.

My active involvement not only led me to participate in every single climate march, to become vegetarian, to develop permaculture in my own home or to stop traveling by plane, it equally was the driver for me to have an impact in our local economy by helping small businesses to successfully manage their digital transformation. As a fervent believer in taking action, I built up the courage to throw myself in the entrepreneurial adventure.

Creating NT network with a friend allowed me to make a mark as well as apply the knowledge learned during my Bachelor and develop strong project management, leadership, client management and decision-making skills. Meeting the needs of our customers required the intervention of a multidisciplinary team including graphic designers, IT developers, project leaders and client relationship managers. One of my proudest projects was for a small ski rental company who has been able to double their revenue thanks to an online ski rental and stock management platform. I deeply enjoy the entrepreneurial dimension of NT network, however I aim for my next adventure to be more centered on my ecological and social values.

Climate is a multi-dimensional issue that cannot be solved with a single perspective. It is the combination of technology, economic and political issues, societal and human needs that will enable us to implement the projects and actions allowing for the salvatory disruption. I believe I am a hummingbird, and i’m looking forward to making a positive impact .
